Kanakatara Subramanian

Kanaka has been associated with SMA India Private Limited (SMA IN) since May 2013 and her journey till date with SMA IN has been very interesting, evolving and challenging.

Each new task was welcomed by her as an opportunity to learn and grow.

Her key competencies are people and process management and the role in SMA provides her an opportunity to represent the Organization for Financial, Statutory, Compliance and Legal requirements.

Developing strategies and processes to meet business requirements and reviewing the financial health of the Company are some of her core responsibilities.

Prior to SMA she was associated with Patni, JLL and E&Y.

Service Director - SEA & India

C.P. Gupta

Chandreshwar has over all 22 - years’ experience in Power Electronics, Medium, Large-scale solar projects & solar inverter services.

He joined SMA in 2011 as a part of the Service Team, elevated himself to one of the Heads of SMA Solar India and overlooks products & services for the company. He is monitoring and evaluating the performance of the service department, increasing the effectiveness as well as the efficiency by driving continual process improvement to achieve business goals & maximize customer satisfaction.

Prior to SMA , he was associated as a Project Manager in TATA BP Solar for 11 years and executed many solar projects in India and overseas.

He has proven ability to build & maintain good customer relationship.

Karan Singh

Karan is an alumni of IIT Roorkee and has over 10 years of experience across the renewable industry spreading across multiple products and solution offerings.

He has been associated with SMA since 2014 and has grown organically from being a part of regional sales team to now leading the sales operation for the entire South East Asia & South Asia region.

He has a unique blend of responding to changes and making customers a part of SMA, this helped him drive success for both SMA and our customers.

Being passionate and focused on delivering customer centric solutions in an everchanging market dynamics has helped him succeed and grow with the organization.

Anita Virnave

Anita Virnave, 42 years, Master in Human Resource & Marketing from AMITY University in 2006, began her career in Sales & Marketing with KOTAK Mahindra Bank as an Unit Manager. After working for one and half years she decided to follow her passion of Human Relation and Working with people, joined Doshion Veolia- A Water Treatment company as an Sr. HR Executive cum Admin. In June’2012 entered SMA SOLAR INDIA PVT LTD as an HR Specialist and gradually was promoted to Human Resource Manager. Being a part of core Team and under the guidance of Local Managing Director Mr Rakesh Khanna, reviewed processes, suggested ways for improving the same, delved into Policy Making, Talent Mapping, retention programs, headcount management, delivered all to perfection.

With almost 14 plus years of Experience in Human Resource Management, with expertise in Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, employee relations, employee engagement, PMS, and retention programs. Anita is now part of SMA India Management Team (IMT) since March’2022 and definitely has a focused and reliable personality with a strong focus on influencing partners to achieve results, people management, leadership, analytical and collaborative skills instilling the ethos of SMA India-TRUST, TRANSPARENCY and TARGET.

Amita Bagga

Amita holds a Post Graduate degree in International Business from IMT Ghaziabad and boasts over 18 years of rich experience within the IT sector. Prior to joining SMA Solar India, she contributed her expertise at IBM, serving in various capacities including Global Transformation Governance Leader, Business Operations Leader, Agile Coach, Service Delivery Manager, and Quality Assurance Manager.

Since her arrival at SMA Solar India in June 2023, Amita has assumed the pivotal role of Director of Business Development, leading the Global Competence Center in Bangalore. In this capacity, she drives business growth by analyzing business problems and providing creative solutions. Additionally, Amita plays a crucial role in talent acquisition, crafting and executing a comprehensive strategy to attract and hire individuals possessing specialized skills essential for international expansion.
